Figub Brazlevič

“The sun is my mother and the moon is my father”

Figub Brazlevic is a Berlin-based beat producer and a talented member of the new generation of hiphop beatmakers. Drawing inspiration from various music styles like jazz, soul, funk and blues, Figub has been releasing music for the last fifteen years. His beats are a chase for the groove, propelled by thumping drums and swinging percussion.

Growing up in the Golden Era influenced him a lot and is mirrored in his music: he always shows his respect to a time that largely defined the music he loves and makes. Expect a bass-driven mixture of classic hiphop and fresh new sounds, synthetic and sampled: not tied down a specific musical genre but open to any and all inspiring influences.

Figub Brazlevic has worked and is still collaborating with a range of different international artists like Rasco & Planet Asia aka the Cali Agents (US), Teknical Development from Obba Supa (UK), Nico Suave (GER), Pitvalid (GER), Coehn (GER), Rob For Real (B), Quadrifoglio (I), Powlee (AUT), Rikki Stricker (AUT) and many more…

His stage experience ranges from solo performances and supporting Dj’s to on-stage collaborations accompanied by live bands. In March 2011, he entered the first Beatmaker Challenge from Finest Ego where he took second place.

During fifteen years of making music Figub Brazlevic has been very prolific but also very deliberate about which songs he exposes to the public, preferring to only put out the ‘right song at the right time’. This close affinitiy he has with his music is also why there is only a limited number of beats available to the audience. Let’s see which of the numerous unknown tracks will be dropped in the future…
